Chateau De Chillon (Medieval Castle)
THE FEUDAL SYSTEM
All castles depended upon the Feudal System, this system allowed the castles to exist. The reason why Chateau De Chillon perpetuated the Feudal System was because the kings maintained power. They were the only people who could change the Feudal System but they chose not to because the system gave them power. This is the reason why the Feudal System was continued throughout the centuries.
There are a lot of similarities between the Feudal System and how we currently operate today. For example, there is an owner, then a boss, followed by the executives, then there are the employees. In medieval days a King was at the top, then came a Lord or Baron, then came the Knights, followed by the Peasants or Villeins.
